Learning Poverty is one of the biggest challenges facing almost all the countries of Asia and Africa. While Education has been declared a basic human right, providing quality education is a challenge very few countries have managed to overcome. The global education goal, SDG 4, was supposed to provide universal education to all the children in the world. But data has constantly shown that 1 in 6 children between the age of 6 and 17 will still be excluded by that date and only 6 in 10 children would have completed secondary education.

This will more prominent in low income countries, where more than 20% of the children would still be not able to read. This is because of large number of children who drop out due to financial constraints, more so in girl children, where the rate is almost 50% in some countries. According to a report prepared by the UNESCO Institute of Statistics, the SDG 4 goals will be missed by most of Africa, primarily the Sub Saharan African countries, where one-fifth of the students are out of school.

There is an urgent need to bring more and more children into education, provide the right infrastructure and ensure that they stay in schools. This is a challenge that most countries have failed to meet. Primarily because its near about impossible to manually track and create plans and implement. This is where the use of technology can change the landscape. Building a system that not only helps children as they go through the admission process, but also makes sure they get the right aids, the eligible get their scholarships, the admissions into higher education is seamless and hassle free.

The Indian Parliament passed the Right to Education Act, making eight years of quality education a fundamental right for every girl and boy in India. Enacted on 1 April 2010, the RTE serves as a building block to ensure that every child from 6 to 14 years has his or her right to receive quality elementary education, and that the State, with the help of families and communities, fulfills this obligation.
