KALIA Scholarship: Fostering inclusive education and academic excellence

The Government of Odisha is dedicated to promoting quality and inclusive higher education in the state through various scholarship, financial assistance, and interest subsidy programs. One such initiative is the KALIA scholarship scheme, designed to provide financial support to the children of beneficiaries under KALIA for pursuing Professional/Technical courses within Odisha. This scheme aims to enhance access to Higher Education for the children of Small and Marginal farmers, Actual cultivators, and Landless Agricultural households, empowering these families.

The objective of the KALIA scholarship scheme is to extend financial assistance to the children of the beneficiaries under KALIA for pursuing Professional/Technical courses in the State of Odisha. It will lead to better access to Higher Education for children of Small and marginal farmers (SF/MF), Actual cultivators (sharecroppers), and Landless Agricultural households (LAH). KALIA Scholarship will support SF/MF & LAH in empowering their families.

In order to ensure proper higher education for their children, support will be provided in the form of a KALIA Scholarship. The scholarship is given purely on a merit basis to those who are studying professional/technical courses like Medical, Engineering, Agriculture and Allied Nursing, Diploma, and different trades in ITI in Government Institutions of the State.
