My Thoughts on Independence : CSM Technologies

As a kid, I have always awaited the arrival of Republic Day and Independence Day- two of our treasured national holidays. The same childhood longing has continued to this day. The spectacle of the Indian tricolour fluttering across the country makes our hearts swell with pride. It is an epitome of the gallant spirit of the freedom fighters and our martyrs who have helped us become the nation we are today.

Unlike other holidays like Holi or Diwali, an Independence Day or Republic Day allowed us to soak in official festivity. Since then, the tricolour has inspired me, bringing with it a sense of pride and unity. Regardless of where it is hoisted, the national flag binds a nation as heterogeneous as India into one thread. As a nation, we have celebrated the commonality of differences- our languages, dialects and cultures are not alike. Yet our avowed unity in diversity stands out.

Just imagine what a unifying factor this tricolour has been. What would have happened if all our citizens didn’t have a national flag to salute? But the ‘tale of the mast’ is the one that I wish to narrate today. A flag that is emblematic of the journeys we have undertaken and the expeditions we are set to tap our feet into. This occasion marks the coming together of both reason and season. The telescoping of our hopes and aspirations!

Our new campus at CSM is the culmination of the collective vision of our workforce. We have always strived to build something that mirrors our culture and vision and showcases what we are contributing to the nation. Thoughts overlapped and ideas coalesced before we zeroed in on this 100 feet mast at our upcoming campus at Infocity, Bhubaneswar. With our forte in GovTech solutions, we have constantly adapted to diversities at workplaces. In expanding our business, we have straddled geographies and blurred borders with our bouquet of solutions. But the challenge here is to herd the flock at workplace. Is there any single factor that strings us all into a uniform spool? What unifies and pulsates us beyond the modern meanderings of a brand?

Every Independence Day over the past two decades has offered an opportunity for me to wax eloquent on the significance of freedom and how we have taken this journey of over seven decades into a free nation. Then, we would soak ourselves in revelry; treat ourselves with sweets, chat with our colleagues and brainstorm on challenges ahead. This sense of togetherness with a subtle touch of technology inspires and propels us ahead. At our upcoming campus, our flag soars over 100 feet high, flutters and reminds us of our exalted purpose. Let’s look within and front load our aspirations. Jai Hind!
